    Help me

What are you trying to do? Please share some more details, and we might be able to help 😀
  3. The Eobot cryptocurrency exchange has an interesting policy for storing customer coins to protect against the possibility of their site being hacked: What do you think of this approach? Is it a good idea to have a separate wallet for use in the event of a hack? Or does this incentivize the wrong kind of behavior?

    Eobot v2

I'm unable to load https://eobotv2.cc/ - is this site still online? How is this related to the cryptocurrency exchange at https://www.eobot.com/?
  5. We've made some tweaks to the spam filtering and it should be a lot better now. As always, please report any posts that do get past the filter.
  6. 100% agreed. The wave of health-related spam being posted lately is very distracting and completely against the spirit of the forum. We're constantly banning the spammers and also use several different automated anti-spam solutions (such as reCAPTCHA) but they continue to sign up with new accounts every day. New anti-spam options are also being evaluated, but this will always be a game of cat-and-mouse. Please continue to report the spam posts as soon as they appear, so the mods can take appropriate action.
  7. Are you interested in only mining pools, or also individual miners with smaller hash rates (perhaps those with ASICs rather than cloud mining contracts)?

    Blockchain Game Alliance

Ubisoft, ConsenSys, and several other companies have joined together to create the Blockchain Alliance. In their own words: These are big names in the industry, and there's huge potential for utilization of blockchain technologies in gaming. Especially for in-game rewards such as loot chests and skins, tracking ownership and generation using a blockchain might start happening sooner than later. How would you like to see blockchain used in games?

    Does this really work?

If it sounds too good to be true, then usually it is ? This offer is a simple pyramid scheme, that relies on signing up an extremely high number of other members in order to make any profit. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme. As shown on Wikipedia, in order to reach the 10th level of earning (with a branching factor of 6) you would need to sign up more than 60 million users! It's not necessarily a "scam" in the sense that you won't lose money on it, but you'll definitely lose time. And the profits they promise are practically impossible.
  16. According to their roadmap, the full launch date is supposed to be September 2018. So perhaps they're increasing advertising after the official launch? I see they were listed in TechCrunch already 5 years ago. Haven't heard much about them since then though, apart from their TRAK wallet launch in July: Here's their whitepaper: https://trakinvest.ai/files/ti-whitepaper.pdf
  17. Ripple (XRP) has overtaken Ethereum (ETH) for the position of second-largest cryptocurrency, behind Bitcoin: https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/09/21/ripple-goes-parabolic-and-flippens-ethereum-are-banks-acquiring-xrp/ That's an impressive advance for Ripple, which has been more and more prominent in recent news. Ethereum on the other hand has been stagnating in both price and market share.
  18. The Gemini exchange has just launched a new stablecoin (GUSD) that promises to provide some competition for Tether (USDT). According to the official blog post: In addition, the company promises a strong auditing program: This will set them apart from Tether, who have had many controversies recently regarding their auditing practices. MINING ON YOUR OWN FOR FREE BTC

Interesting site... so users mine crypto in exchange for "spins" that can be used to play a slot machine. I wonder how long this takes to generate enough for the minimum withdrawal? It's quite high - this is what I see when I start playing and try to withdraw: That's about ~$220 USD minimum! For what it's worth, here's my link: BTC Heat

    mining

Welcome! What sort of mining are you interested in? Do you already have a computer with a good graphics card (which might help you mining something like ETH) or are you looking for cloud mining solutions (there are several mentioned on the previous forum threads)?

    Zantepay Trading Competition

Oh, I missed this. How did the trading competition go? Any big winners?
  24. From the company's official blog post: This is a big deal, because typically proof-of-stake (PoS) style cryptocurrencies requires storing your private keys on a computer system (so that the official software can access them). Enabling support for a hardware security device like the Ledger Nano S ensures that the private keys are never accessible to a vulnerable system, and even if the official wallet software is hacked your private keys will still remain secure. It's worth noting that the activation process for staking can take quite a long time. It's possible to speed this up, but at the risk of potentially losing privacy. From the company's FAQ: The Particl team are based in Prague, Czechia which is the same location as the Satoshi Labs team who make the popular Trezor device. So it'll be interesting to see if the Trezor One or Trezor Model T soon add support for cold staking on Particl too.
